Introduction

Campaign introduction to assist in planning characters and their initial motivations:

Your adventure begins in the far northern reaches of the imperial kingdom of Rodenia in the remote town of Sojourn, which rests in the middle of a canyon within the Frostbreak Mountains. Sojourn is well known for its mythril mining operations, premiere big game hunters and expansive hunting fields, the mercenary guild known as Orphan, and the northernmost military academy in Rodenia. It is the only trading hub in the far north, which results in the town attracting wealthy merchants, adventurers looking for supplies, thieves in search of valuables to pilfer, and invading raiders from the mountains and surrounding countryside. There have been whispers across the north as of late that there's been trouble in Sojourn's mythril mines. What you have ventured to the town of Sojourn for is entirely up to you...

Rodenia: One of two human kingdoms in the world. Officially known as the "Imperial Republic of Rodenia", this kingdom is very militaristic and the ruling government of the kingdom is oppressive. Known for their elite shocktroopers, the Rodenian Guard, highly trained fighters specializing in genocidal tactics. Guards are free to hassle citizens of Rodenia's towns without repercussion. The law is enforced strictly in Rodenia, with multi-year sentences being common for petty crimes. Commonfolk of Rodenia are generally considered oppressed and unhappy.

Sojourn: Northernmost town in all of Rodenia. It is nestled in the kingdom's cold arctic. Getting to and from Sojourn is often considered a treacherous journey without ample supplies and protection from the elements.

Frostbreak Mountains: Colossal spike-like mountains that stretch across the northern coastline of Rodenia, and partially surrounds the town of Sojourn (which rests within a small canyon in the mountains). These mountains are considered completely inhospitable to human life, both due to the extreme cold and the frightening creatures that call the high elevation of the mountains their home.
